Hello and welcome!

Before I tell you a little about myself, let me first say THANK YOU for stopping by my blog!  I am so excited to share this journey with you!  If you would like to stay up to date on what God is doing in my life leading up to and during my time in the Philippines, please subscribe and come along for the ride!

Now some things to know about me.  I am from the small town of Collins in central Iowa.  I am 20 years old and the eldest of 6 children.  I was home schooled and graduated in the spring of 2018.  I currently work as a leasing consultant for a property management company.  I also take classes through the International Doula Institute and will be graduating this November as a licensed labor and delivery doula.  *When telling people what I'm studying, I'm often met with "what's a doula?"  So to those of you who may be asking yourself the same question, a doula is basically a birthing coach who provides physical and emotional support to mothers during labor and delivery.*  I have a passion for moms and babies and have been fascinated by birth from a fairly young age.  It is my prayer that God allow me to use my skills as a doula for ministry, both in the US and abroad; helping women bring new life into the world while also sharing with them the new life that can be found in Christ.

On the rare occasion I'm not working or studying (haha), you can find me spending time with my family, reading, playing guitar, writing or just being outdoors.

It is my prayer that God will use this mission trip to make Himself known and that he will use and grow me outside of my comfort zone.  I do ask that you would be praying for me and my team as we prepare and go to the Philippines, that God would be at work in our heart as well as the hearts of those we will interact with during our time there.  Pray that hearts would be eager to hear and receive the Gospel, that we would be able to touch people with His love a grace and that His kingdom will be grown!

Thank you in advance for your support and prayers.  I can't wait to share this adventure with you!
